Creative Ways to Decorate Around Your TV
It’s true that TVs are not as bulky than they used to be, but they still aren’t the cutest part of your living room decor. Yet, at the same time homeowners often choose to hang their tv on a wall that is easily visible from every angle of the room, so it isn’t something that you can just hide – or can you?
The good news is there are ways you can decorate around the TV, incorporate it into your room’s existing features or completely hide your TV when you are not using it.
Here are a few of my favorite tips for decorating around a TV.
Surround with Greenery
Who doesn’t love the natural look of greenery? We also like the way this TV took advantage of the existing features of the room by placing the TV in between 2 windows. This is a simple yet gorgeous design that creates balance and allows natural light in the sitting area.
Place on a Wood Wall
Define the space around your TV by hanging it on a wood wall, or really any material that stands out from the rest of the room. You could also use tile or stone or paint that section of the wall a different color.
Hang Above a Fireplace
If you already have a fireplace, why not take advantage of this element and use it to create a cozy ambiance around your TV? The photo above displays a modern fireplace with a minimalistic look.
Hide Your TV When You’re Not Using It
Here is another example of a TV hung above a fireplace but you wouldn’t know that at first glance, because it hiding behind wall art. You can purchase several types of TV covers such as various wall art, cabinets, barn doors and other sliding doors.
